Shifting Pact: leading a team of eight for a real client
Ten days, a team of eight students and a real client: Shifting Pact, an organisation that assesses companies' sustainability commitments. I was the project manager and the back-end lead.

Delivered to the client in ten days.
I supervised the whole project, and designed the data model, most of the API contracts and the score calculation.
The challenge
Shifting Pact has companies fill in questionnaires on their environmental, social and governance (ESG) commitments and on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), then derives a score from them.
In ten days, as a team of eight, we had to turn that need into an application that works, splitting the work so everyone could move forward in parallel.
What I brought
running the project
I supervised the whole project and coordinated the team; on the back end, I wrote and assigned 31 of the 33 tickets, so everyone knew what to do and in which order.
structuring the data
I designed the data model, 21 tables, from the questionnaires and the scoring rules.
setting the interfaces
I defined most of the API contracts, so the front end and the back end could progress in parallel.
What it says about how I work
- I lead a team and structure its work, while keeping the technical side in view.
- I start from the data and the business rules before writing code.
- I break work down so a team can move forward in parallel, even on a short deadline.
Looking for someone who structures a team's work and delivers on time? I would be glad to talk.
